Unlike other tailgate spreaders that require a bolt-to-the truck steel frame, the Mate is molded entirely from polymer material and is strapped onto the tailgate. This means you’ll get years of dependable, rust-free performance without having to drill or deface your vehicle.

Ease of Use

Easy to Use Controller

Precise spread-pattern control is the key to efficient performance. The Mate's variable-speed controller (patent-pending) is easy to use and comes standard with an operator-selected "blast" function. Selecting the Auto Vibrate Mode automatically vibrates the spreader for 10 seconds every 60 seconds to keep your load agitated and ready to spread. The Auto Spinner Stop Mode automatically stops the spinner if the brake is depressed for more than five seconds keeping material from dropping onto the road. These exclusive Meyer controller features make the Mate one of the highest-performing spreaders in its class.
